Our best friends in the world are not always human.  My best friends come with fur coats and bring joy and pleasure to me just by being there with excitement to tell me they missed me when I was away for even a short period of time.  Nudging my hand for a loving scratch on the head to say goodnight or to greet me each morning as dawn peeks through the windows.  Always knowing when I need a little kiss or a wagging tail to chase away a bad day.  Or even to argue with me about a silly stuffed animal, always with the special love and affection only they know how to give.  I am referring to our furry friends who are really extended members of our families that love us so unconditionally.
